Day by day, having privacy is getting harder and following and tracking attempts are getting easier. Today, I will explain how to protect your privacy easily. This is not a full tutorial, but it should be easy enough for you. It balances comfort and privacy.
- Stop using Google!
Using Google Search is the worst thing that you can do. Google logs all of your search history and uses it to target you and track you. Use DuckDuckGo or Startpage.
2. Stop using Youtube!
By using Youtube, Google logs all of the videos you have watched and targets you with personalized adverts. Try NewPipe to watch Youtube videos sort of anonymously.
3. Delete all of your social media apps!
Everything (Facebook, Tiktok, Twitter, etc) tracks you and uses location tracking. The Media turns you into sheep. They influence your every move, everyday.
Uninstall Facebook on Android by installing adb debug tools, and type:
adb uninstall --user 0 com.facebook.katana
4. Use an ad blocker!
Using an ad blocker is the best thing that you can do to prevent fishy sites from loading. Check out this article here to see and download uBlock Origin, a good ad blocker.
5. (A bit harder) Throw away your iPhone!
Your iPhone has CSAM detection, which scans through all of your photos and scans them for child abuse. This is creepy, and was released this year (2022). Throw it away or smash it and get an Android phone. They are less vulnerable.
