Windows 7 Starter is an os made for small and cheap PCs in the 2000s. I have recorded some info about this OS and here I explain what it is and why.
Windows 7 Starter (I will call it Windows Starter from now on) has a very simple interface, just like Windows 7. Windows Starter apparently has a lot of limitations, but they are not very noticeable when using it. It just feels and looks like Windows 7. For example, you can not set a custom wallpaper here and there are no themes like on Windows 7. You can upgrade to higher versions but this is only for showcase so I will not.
Here is a video of the OS:
Interestingly enough, there is also an older version of Windows 7 Starter – Windows Vista Starter!
Windows Vista Starter is harder and rarer to get because it was not used as often as this OS.
Windows Starter was sold on cheap laptops and usually worked well, those laptops had very low hardware and Windows Starter was optimized for that.
