KVM or Kernel Virtual Machine is a method to virtualize a machine while giving it graphical IO. This can optimize performance and make your VM blazing fast. Though, you still need a fast PC to do it.
It works on Linux best, since Linux is designed for such tasks.
It works on QEMU and other things. The driver compatibility is ok, not good. there might be some bugs, but for a fast VM, its worth it!
